Class 1 & 2 had a fantastic day at Low Barns Nature Reserve on Thursday 21st June 2018. The children were separated into 3 groups and completed a variety of activities throughout the day. This included pond dipping, mini beast hunt, spending some time in the bird hide (where some children were fortunate enough to see a Woodpecker!) and spotting dragonfly in the butterfly garden. It was a fantastic day, the children were engaged and shared their own knowledge and understand around nature as well as learning new things. The visit consolidated everything the children have been learning this term which has been around animal habitats and life cycles.
