Mission Statement
To provide quality education in a safe and caring environment.
Vision
At Copeland Road Primary School we encourage our pupils to participate in all aspects of the curriculum where all of the children can enjoy learning, experience success, increase their self-respect and aspire to reach their full potential. Children are at the heart of our school and we take great pride in developing our pupils to be the best that they can be. We aim to instil a lifelong love for learning and a strong grounding for future success. We challenge all children to strive for academic, creative, sporting and personal achievement within a broad, vibrant and enriched curriculum that promotes the British values.
Values
Our values are based on our Gem Powers, we want our children to:
be independent: Diamond Power
be kind: Ruby Power
be resilient: Emerald Power
be focussed: Sapphire Power
share: Amethyst Power
collaborate: Topaz Power
We use the ‘Gem Project’ which was introduced to our school by Dr Tom Robson. It centres around 6 gems, which link with learning powers. This project is designed to build on the work that we already do in school on building resilient, growth mindset, kind and independent learners. The different ‘Gems’ help the children to understand that no matter what they think their ability is, they can always improve.
