Leagues

Our team of footballers played over 4 weeks to compete for a place in the Education Enterprise football finals. We didn’t quite make the top of our group but the team showed some brilliant displays of football and scored some amazing goals.

Over 4 weeks, our dodgeball team played some of the local primary schools in the central venue league organised by Education Enterprise. This team showed grit and determination when showing off their throwing and catching skills. Their dodging was amazing and at one point it looked like they might have made it to the dodgeball finals. Unfortunately, this time they didn’t quite making it and finished fourth in their group.

For some of our children in school, this was their first experience playing competitive football. The children went to Bishop Auckland Football Ground to play many other primary school across 5 weeks. The development of this team was incredible. They showed true resilience and fought for their first goal and fought even harder for their first win.

Our team of cricketers played in the central venue league over 4 weeks at Bishop Auckland Cricket Club. They developed their cricket skills week on week and their batting and bowling skills improved greatly. This team really enjoyed this league and showed fantastic sportsmanship towards other teams and were very encouraging to each other. They were a pleasure to watch.

Tonight marked the ending of our final league this year. This small squad of netballers (including Leo) were absolutely fantastic. They showed great team work, resilience and improved week on week making us very proud. It was fantastic to finish on a win and a draw in the sunshine.
